Action-Packed Dashboards: Advanced Tableau Techniques for Smarter User Experiences

January 14, 2026 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

About the Event

Turn your Tableau dashboards from “pretty charts” into interactive, space-saving experiences your users will love.

In this one-hour, demo-driven session, we’ll explore how set actions, parameters & parameter actions, and dynamic zone visibility can dramatically upgrade what your dashboards can do—without adding clutter.

You’ll see how to:

  • Reorder stacked bar charts based on user selections.
  • Enable proportional brushing across multiple visualizations.
  • Design drill-into and drill-through experiences that feel natural.
  • Use dynamic zone visibility to show/hide content and make the most of limited dashboard space.

This session is ideal for new and intermediate Tableau users who are comfortable building basic dashboards and are ready to add smarter interactivity and cleaner layouts.

Format: Live demo + walkthrough in Tableau, with time for Q&A.

Prerequisites: Basic familiarity with Tableau (dimensions, measures, filters, basic dashboards).

If you can’t attend live, register and receive the recording.
