Mark Layers aren’t just for maps. They turn Tableau’s flat geo grid into a flexible canvas for building custom, high performing, single-sheet visualizations.
In this session, you’ll learn the building blocks behind Mark Layers, then create two examples. We’ll begin with a simple donut chart and finish with a sales actual-to-budget view with barcode-style layering.

Data educator and strategist with over 20 years of industry experience, Celia is dedicated to turning analytics into action and opportunity in her current roles of Training & Enablement Lead at Xeomatrix and Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco.

She authored and delivered 30+ courses for DataCamp, General Assembly, and F500 companies. Celia has created and managed extensive courseware development and delivery teams within Hire, Train, Deploy companies to send +350 students into successful consulting positions as Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts with F100 hiring partners.
