Anna has worked in data analytics and engineering for 15 years, with experience that spans database administration, data engineering, and business intelligence. She has created and led teams in enterprise SaaS and early-stage startups, building data teams from the ground up and rearchitecting the gnarly stack everyone’s afraid to touch. She has deep experience with healthcare data and geospatial data processing at TB scale, garnered in past stints at Epic, Zendesk, and Mapbox.
Anna is passionate about optimization and is the co-author of PostgreSQL Query Optimization, now in its 2nd edition. A community-builder, she is the treasurer of Prairie Postgres and has helped organize and run user groups and conferences for Postgres users and the Postgres-curious.
When she’s not wrangling data cross-cloud, Anna enjoys biking and busing around Milwaukee with her two kids.
